Usually, you do not need to manually add intermediary bank details in Plane.
Our banking partner automatically routes payments through the appropriate intermediary bank based on information available in the SWIFT network. Banks typically maintain their intermediary relationships and routing preferences within this network, allowing payments to be directed correctly.
As long as your bank has its routing details updated in the SWIFT network, payments should be processed through the correct intermediary bank automatically.
ℹ️ Important: Intermediary banks are only relevant for international (SWIFT) transfers.
What if my bank requires me to specify an intermediary bank?
No worries! If your bank requires a specific intermediary or correspondent bank to receive a payment, we can help add it manually.
Here is what you need to do:
Ask your receiving bank for the wiring instructions, including the intermediary bank details.
Most banks provide these instructions as a PDF document.
Send the PDF or a screenshot of the wiring instructions to our support team.
You can share the document through:
Plane’s in-app chat
Email: support@plane.com
Our team will review the instructions and help configure the payment routing if possible.
ℹ️ Note: In some cases, intermediary bank details cannot be specified due to limitations within the banking network.
