How to add or update a payment method

Can I disable or delete a bank account/payment method?

Once you've added more than one bank account or payment method, you have the option to set one as default, disable, or delete it.

How to add a new account

You can add as many bank accounts as you like in different currencies. Check out this article for the list of the currencies we support.

💡 Please note: Be sure to add the correct currency that your bank account is able to support.

  1. Go to the Bank accounts tab.

  2. Click Add account on the left, or the center of the tab if it's your first time adding one.

  3. Enter your account password, then click "Continue."

  4. Click "Add account" and enter the bank details.

  5. Once you’ve submitted the required information, the new bank account will be added to your payment methods list.

If you would like Plane to send payments to your new bank account, you’ll need to make it the Default account.

How to set a default account:

  1. Go to the Bank accounts tab.

  2. Click on the bank account you’d like to make your default account

  3. Click "Mark as default" on the right of the account.

💡 Please note: If you'd like to change your default account, please ensure that the other account has already been added.

ℹ️ Important Information: There’s an exception when your payment may not be sent to your default bank account. You can find more information on how the default account works here.

How to disable an account:

  1. Go to the Bank accounts tab.

  2. Click on the bank account you’d like to disable.


  3. Click "Disable" on the right of the account.

To remove/delete an account:

  1. Go to the Bank accounts section.

  2. Select the bank account you’d like to remove.

  3. Click "Remove".

    💡 Please note: In order to remove a bank account, you will need to have at least one other payment method on your profile.
