How to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Updated over a year ago

To enhance the security of your account, you have the option to enable two-factor authentication. Once activated, when you log in to your Plane account, you will be required to provide both your password and an authentication code generated by a third-party app. This additional layer of security ensures that only authorized individuals can access your account.

To enable the two-factor authentication

  1. Click 'Enable two-factor authentication' at the bottom section.

  2. Follow the prompt to scan provided QR code using your authenticator app.

  3. Enter the 6-digit verification code generated by the app.

  4. Enter your password for security.

  5. Click 'Verify code and activate' to confirm.

Once done, you'll be given the option to download the recovery codes. Recovery codes can be used in case you lost access to your authenticator apps.

To disable the two-factor authentication

  1. Click the 'Disable two-factor' at the bottom section.

  2. Enter your password for security purposes.

  3. Click 'Disable 2FA' to confirm.

Locked out of your account?

If you are unable to recall the application you used or cannot locate your recovery codes, please reach out to our Support team at support@plane.com.
