Introduction
Welcome to Plane! 🎉
This article will serve as a guide on how to navigate your Contractor dashboard.
Overview
The navigation bar is located to the right of the contractor dashboard.
At the top right corner, below the Plane logo, you'll find an arrow beside the name of your organization. Once you click that arrow, you'll have access to the following options: Settings, Support, and Sign Out.
If you have multiple Plane profiles, you'll also see the option to switch to the other profiles.
Settings: If you go to Settings, you'll find the option to change your password and set up Two-factor authentication.
Support: You will be redirected to email us at support@plane.com when you click this.
Sign Out: To off-board from your Plane account.
Below that section are the following menu options: Home, Personal, Payments, Expenses, Documents, and Compliance.
Navigation menu items
Home
Your Home menu is split into the following tabs: Dashboard, Tasks, and Notifications.
Dashboard: Shows a preview of your list of pending tasks and a preview of your notifications; you will also see a shortcut to Request payment and Submit an expense from there.
Tasks: Here are the lists of any pending tasks that need your attention, such as contract signing or completing the compliance form.
Notifications: This shows a list of notifications. It mostly includes payment notifications, whether upcoming or past.
Personal
This tab shows your personal details as well as business information (if any). You can also edit or change any of the details in this tab.
Payments
Your Payments menu is split into the following tabs: Requests, History, and Bank accounts.
Requests: This is where you can send payment requests to your organizations and track the submitted requests. Check out the article for more information about how to submit a payment request.
History: Shows lists of payments that are sent to you. This list includes past and upcoming payments.
Bank accounts: You can manage your payment method in this tab.
Expenses
This is where you can add and submit an expense report to your organization. Check out the article for more information about How to request a reimbursement. Other than that, you can also track the submitted reimbursement in this tab.
Documents
In this tab, you will see lists of documents tied to your contractor profile. To view a document, click on its title, and when the document opens, you can choose to download it. The invoice you sent along with a payment request, will also be stored here.
Compliance
This tab will show whether your organization requires you to complete the compliance form (W8 or W9). If you haven't completed the form, the status on this tab will show as Open. Once the form is completed, the status will update to Closed.
