What tabs do I have access to as a manager?

Introduction

Welcome to Plane! πŸŽ‰

This article will serve as a guide on how to navigate your manager dashboard.

πŸ’‘ Please note: Managers have limited or no access to some tabs depending on the access levels provided by your Admin.

Overview

The navigation bar is located to the right of your dashboard.

At the very top, below the Plane logo, you'll find an arrow beside the name of your organization which shows the profile menu. Once you click that arrow, you'll have access to the following options: Company name with user access tag (Manager/Administrator), Open new account, Settings, Support and Sign out.

Below that section, the following menu options are listed: People, Payments, Expenses, and Time off. The availability of menu options may vary.

Navigation menu items

Profile menu

  • Company name with user access tag: Shows whether you're accessing an Admin, Manager, Contractor, or Employee profile. You can also toggle between multiple user profiles.

  • Open New account: Gives you the option to create a new company profile.

  • Settings: Gives you the option to request a profile name change, request an email address change, change password and enable 2FA.

  • Support: Allows you to contact the Support Team via chat.

  • Sign out: Allows you to sign out of your profile.

People

Your People menu is split into the following tabs: Team and Onboarding.

  • Team: Shows a list of your direct reports.

  • Onboarding: Shows a list of your direct reports who are being onboarded. You have the option of clicking each onboarding item to view more details.

Payments

Your Payments menu is split into the following tabs: Pay contractors (if option is enabled), Requests, Vendors.

  • Pay contractors: Gives you the option to create one-time payments for contractors outside of a payroll. This is also where vendor payments are created.

  • Vendors: Shows a list of vendors.

Expenses

Your Expenses menu is split into the following tabs: Inbox and History.

  • Inbox: Shows a list of pending expenses from your direct reports.

  • History: Shows a list of Approved and Rejected expenses from your direct reports.

Time off

Your Time off menu is split into the following tabs: Requests, Upcoming, and Settings.

  • Requests: Shows a list of all Pending, Withdrawn, Approved, and Declined time off requests from your direct reports.

  • Upcoming: Shows a list of upcoming time off that has been approved.

  • Settings: Gives you the option to choose which time off types you want to make available to your team members.
