The first thing you’ll need to agree on is a salary in local currency (all salaries must be denominated in local currency). Bear in mind that this might be a different amount than what they're being paid as a global contractor. Some people might expect more (because their taxes might be higher), while others might expect less (because they have more job security).
Once you know the gross salary, you’ll need to add a % to the salary for employer-side taxes and insurance. Plane will make these withholdings on your behalf, so you don’t need to set anything up yourself.
There are no setup fees, but we require a security deposit equal to 1 month of payroll expenses and fees. You can find more information about the security deposit in this article. We don’t charge any annual fees, expense processing fees, or any other surprise fees.
