To add a new contractor you need to log into your account and go to the Team tab under the People menu → Add team member. The whole process shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes.

Step 1: Basic information
You'll be asked to fill in basic information (name, birth date, start date, and job title) and set the compensation. Here you can read about how we calculate amounts sent to contractors based on their compensation.
By inviting the contractor to the app (default option) you won't have to enter the contractor’s payment information yourself and you will be able to use Plane's contract to speed up the onboarding.
Step 2: Compliance
You can choose to use Plane's locally compliant contract or attach the contract you already signed with your contractor to keep all information in one place.
If you choose to use Plane's locally compliant contract you need to select a country and then set the contract's start date and contractor's scope of work. You'll be the first to sign the contract—it will be visible to a contractor only once it's already signed by you. Plane can also help you collect other compliance documents from contractors on your behalf (such as a W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E, W-9, etc.).
Step 3: Review
Before inviting a contractor you'll be able to see a summary of all the information you provided and double-check if everything is correct.
