Can I change a global contractor's personal details?

You can edit a contractor's email address before they set up their Plane account.

Administrators can edit contractors' personal details before or after the contractor sets up their accounts, including their email address, date of birth, and more.

This feature is helpful if, for example, you've accidentally entered a typo into a new contractor's email address and need to fix it before they set up their account, or if the contractor no longer have access to old email address and need to update it.

To edit a contractor's personal details:

  1. Under the People menu, go to the Team tab and select the name of the global contractor to go to their details page.

  2. Under the Personal tab, you'll have the option to edit details by clicking the pencil icon on the right side of each detail.

  3. Make your preferred edits to the details.

  4. Click "Save all" after making your edits, or click "Cancel" if no edits are needed.

If you edit a new contractor's email address before they set up their account, please ensure you also resend the invitation email to the new address. This option is available on the right side of the page:
