Cryptocurrency, also known as crypto-currency or crypto, is any form of digital or virtual currency that uses cryptography to secure transactions. Cryptocurrencies don’t have a central issuing or regulating authority but instead use a decentralized system to record transactions and issue new units. A few examples of cryptocurrencies are Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Tether (USDC).
