Understand how to create a department in Plane.

Introduction

A department allows you to categorize each worker based on the team they belong to.

To create a department, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Under the People tab, select Team from the drop-down menu.

  2. Find the specific employee\contractor.

  3. Click on the Employment tab.

  4. Scroll to the "Department" section and click the pencil icon.

  5. In the dropdown menu under "Department," type the name of the new department.

  6. Select “Create new ‘[department name]" then save!
